As the seasons change, so do our tastes in clothes and home décor. I always enjoy decorating my space in new and innovative ways, but find it can get expensive if you don’t have a budget to cap your spending. Here are 5 of my favorite home décor ideas to brighten your space for spring, while keeping your wallet full. All you need is a little creativity and some crafting supplies.

DIY Chalk Paint Mason Jars: Everyone loves mason jars and they are so easy to find at your local craft store! This DIY tutorial by Wendy Bentley takes you step-by-step through this spring look giving you unique jars that are the perfect setting for your fresh flowers. These jars also make great party favors for a spring gathering.

Pre-Arranged Flowers: If you want to add some fresh flowers to your space, but you don’t want to spend a bunch of money at the florist, HGTV suggest buying a bouquet from your local farmer’s market or super market. The fresh flowers will add a touch a spring to your space and will brighten any room you put them in.

Repurpose Household Objects: We all have objects that we don’t use around the house from muffin tins to cook sheets. This idea from MidwestLiving is a way to reuse some of the objects that you already have and make them into something useful. Why not use a pitcher as a vase or a cookie sheet as a message board? It’s all about getting creative with what you already have.

Monogramed Floral Letters: To make this blooming decorative statement you’ll need some silk flowers, a hot glue gun some floral foam and a letter or two to decorate. This simple project is from Urbanic Paper and the finished project is beautiful! You can add any color or flower you want to make this home decoration your own.

Smoke Out the Bargains: Don’t forget that we aren’t the only ones doing some spring cleaning! As Style At Home suggests in this Spring Decorating on a Budget article, always be on the lookout for bargains. Stores will be looking to get rid of overstocked merchandise or may even be getting rid of floor models for a discounted price.

Bonus: Decluttering your space could give a room a new look and feel. This is a simple step that just takes a few hours to transform a cramped cluttered space into a fresh spring paradise. You may even be able to make some extra cash on the side by selling clothes and objects that are no longer of use to you.

With these easy and affordable spring projects you can bring the breeze of spring into any room or space that needs a little sprucing this season! What are some of your favorite spring projects or decorations? Tell us in the comments below!
